2025 Wo~2The AAO-HNS Workforce and Socioeconomic Survey Task Force and the Board of Governors (BOG) have developed the 2025 Otolaryngology Workforce Report, with a focus on “Call” and “Compensation.” This comprehensive study provides essential insights for all navigating the evolving practice landscape and planning strategically for the future.

In December 2025, Stephen P. Cragle, MD, BOG Chair, moderated an AAO-HNS members-only webinar, which included highlights from this important report as well as findings from the 2025 BOG Call and Compensation Survey, featuring the latest physician compensation benchmarks and trends. On the webinar were Gene Brown, MD, RPh, AAO-HNS/F President; Andew J. Tompkins, MD, MBA, AAO-HNS/F Board member and Chair of the Workforce and Socioeconomic Survey Task Force; and John Werning, MD, BOG Secretary.

If you missed this webinar, you can access an on-demand recording by logging in with your Academy credentials. Gain a clearer picture of today’s otolaryngology workforce and what it means for your practice. “The AAO-HNS Workforce Task Force and the BOG have released a recent workforce analysis focused on compensation in otolaryngology as well as an analysis of call commitments and compensation both in academic and private practice settings,” said Dr. Cragle.  “I found this webinar very helpful in analyzing our call compensation contract as well as our overall compensation package compared with national data. This is the kind of data that will help us make an impact on behalf of our patients and our practices!”
