WATCH: New ENThealth Video! Noise-Induced Hearing Loss in Children

Teach patients and parents how to protect their children from noise-induced hearing loss.

About 10 million Americans suffer irreversible noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). What’s more, as many as 17% of teens (ages 12 to 19) have features of their hearing that suggest NIHL in one or both ears. Noise can be dangerous through a one-time exposure to an intense sound, such as an explosion, or by continuous exposure to loud sounds over long periods of time. To help patients and parents learn how to help protect their children from noise-induced hearing loss, ENThealth.org has developed a new animated video to share with your patients, providing helpful tips and information.

ENThealth.org, the AAO-HNSF patient information website, offers a roadmap for consumers seeking health-related information about otolaryngology-head and neck surgery conditions and treatments. The content is developed from a team of otolaryngology experts, and information is delivered via peer-reviewed articles, interactive features, and video content featuring physicians.
