Health Policy Scholarship Available to Learn Skills for Innovative and Sustainable Solutions
Program provides solutions to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency of healthcare service delivery.
The American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS) are once again jointly sponsoring a scholarship to attend the Health Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University. The course will take place June 3 – 8, 2024.
This intensive one-week program equips health leaders with the knowledge and skills essential for creating innovative and sustainable solutions to improve the quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency of healthcare service delivery and participating in healthcare policy and reform.
Program sessions and case studies offer the latest in national health policy and management frameworks.
The full scholarship will cover tuition, travel, housing, and other travel-related costs for the course.
The award is open to members who are in good standing of both the AAO-HNS and ACS. Applications are due by March 15.
Applicants are required to submit an online application that includes the following:
A one-page essay discussing:
- Why the applicant wishes to receive the scholarship
- How the scholarship will fill a gap in applicant’s training or experience
- Goals or plans to use the newly acquired knowledge or skills in his or her practice or community.
- A current NIH-style bio sketch (five-page maximum)
