How long have you been at the Academy?
At the end of June, I will celebrate two years with the Academy.
What do you do as Manager of Exhibit & Sponsorship Operations?
In my role on the Meetings Team, I manage the planning, execution, and logistics for all exhibitor and sponsor activities at the Annual Meeting & OTO Expo and OTO Forum. I oversee compliance with exhibit rules and regulations, coordinate timelines and deadlines, and handle billing and operational details. Serving as the primary point of contact for exhibit hall activities, I work closely with partners to ensure a seamless experience. I also focus on building strong, trust-based relationships that support long-term engagement and continued partnerships.
Tell us about one of your most memorable moments working for the Academy.
Memorable indeed! 2024 Miami was my first Annual Meeting, and our exhibit hall was unlike anything I have ever seen and experienced! As a nonmedical professional, I was not mentally prepared to see the graphic training surgery videos being displayed on the screens in the booths and even less prepared for the cadavers! It took a minute to regain my composure, and I did not have an appetite for the rest of the day LOL!
How did you get involved in your area of work/expertise?
I have spent most of my professional career (20+ years) working with nonprofit organizations within the Meetings industry and I love it! I started as a registrar managing registrations before moving into meeting logistics, then sponsorship sales, and now Exhibit & Sponsorship operations. I love that I get to see my work come to life. There is so much positive energy within an exhibit hall!

Prior to the COVID pandemic, I was an avid live-music concertgoer. I have seen Michael Jackson, Madonna, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Elton John, Nora Jones, Harry Connick Jr., Pink, Sting, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Santana, Carlos Vives, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Pitbull, and list goes on. I have even flown out of the country to see MANA in Mexico City! I might need to see an ENT specialist as nowadays I seem to be hard of hearing in one of my ears!

BEACH! Always! Due to a fall last summer, I had a hard cast on my left hand and a brace on my left leg but that did not stop me from spending time at the beach. All I could do was squish my toes in the sand, but I was in my happy place!
