Harry’s contributions have ensured our member data are meticulously managed, enabling better service and enhanced member experiences. Let’s learn about Harry!
How long have you been at the Academy?
25 years.
What do you do as the Senior AMS – Business Intelligence?
The main thing I do is to ensure that our members’ data are accurately reflected in our associate management system (AMS), iMIS. This includes tracking committee memberships, Annual Meeting CME activities, and contributions toward members’ Honor and Distinguished Service awards. I also provide staff with tools to extract the data to better serve our members.
Where is your happy place in or near the Academy’s headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia?
Any time the staff gets together, whether during or after work, to socialize and unwind. These moments build teamwork and camaraderie. The Swell Team, a rotating committee of staff members, does an amazing job coming up with fun activities that build staff morale.
What is something readers might be surprised to know about you?
I am a twin and am married to a twin.
Tell us about one of your most memorable moments working for the Academy.
On 9/11, we were in Denver for the Annual Meeting. As the events of that tragic day unfolded, K.J. Lee, MD, who was AAO-HNS/F President-elect at the time, provided remarkable leadership and support. He comforted both attendees and staff, ensured the staff’s safe return to Alexandria, and met with us multiple times in the days that followed to check on our wellbeing. Dr. Lee's professionalism and compassion during such a difficult time left a lasting impression on me.
