How long have you been at the Academy?
I started working at the Academy on April 22, 2025, so I’ve been here about six months.
What do you do as Editorial Coordinator for the OTO Journals?
As Editorial Coordinator, I keep the editorial process running smoothly—from manuscript submission to publication. One thing I’d like readers to know about my role is that it sits at the heart of the publishing process. It’s a behind-the-scenes job that requires organization and attention to detail. It’s rewarding knowing that I play a part in bringing new research and discoveries into the world.
Tell us about one of your most memorable moments working for the Academy.

How did you get involved in publications and the editorial process?
I’ve always been drawn to the process of sharing knowledge and helping ideas reach a wider audience. My background in mass communications made it clear that I love being well rounded in all things. I’ve matriculated from production to marketing but I’ve always found myself back in publications.

Something readers might not know is that I used to be an opera singer and I love various genres of music. Singing opera was my life, from learning new languages to being a part of the theatre.
Do you have a favorite song?
Being a music connoisseur, I’d have to say my favorite song is Nat King Cole’s rendition of “But Beautiful.” It’s such a timeless classic.
