AAO-HNSF receives ACCME Accreditation with Commendation
The AAO-HNSF has recently been awarded the distinction of Accreditation with Commendation by our accrediting board, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). This status is awarded to only a fraction of all organizations who seek to become an accredited provider and represents acknowledgement of a program that delivers the highest quality of practice-relevant, physician-focused education. The AAO-HNSF is honored to receive this distinction and share this achievement with our dedicated membership, without whose contributions and leadership this would not be possible.

In the notification, ACCME President and Chief Executive Officer Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc, said of this accomplishment, “We commend your organization for meeting the ACCME’s accreditation requirements and for demonstrating that yours is a learning organization and a change agent for the physicians and patients you serve.”
The term of this designation extends six years until July 31, 2021. This term, longer than the usual four-year term, in itself indicates the outstanding value the Foundation program offers its Members.
This is an outstanding result that validates the work done by our Education Coordinator, Sonya Malekzadeh, MD; Coordinator-elect, Richard V. Smith, MD; Member volunteers; and AAO-HNSF staff. James C. Denneny III, MD, said “I am delighted to congratulate AAO-HNSF Board of Directors for its guidance and vision, the education faculty for outstanding program content, and the great staff on this outstanding achievement.”
Join us in Dallas this September for the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO EXPOSM to celebrate together.
