Am24 Chelius 1500x845The annual Call for Science for the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the collective expertise and knowledge base of the global otolaryngology community. As you prepare to submit your work, consider how your research, experience, point of view, and perspective can push the boundaries of what is known in practice and patient care.

The AAO-HNSF Call for Science is a platform for you to showcase your groundbreaking studies, innovative approaches, and transformative ideas in the field of otolaryngology. The Annual Meeting Program Committee welcomes contributions from all specialty areas and further encourages those that address achieving care equity, quality, and safety.  (Read my column, “How Do We Achieve Care Equity?”  from December that further explains the focus of this new track for 2024.)

Am24 Experience Extraordinary V2

The theme for the 2024 Annual Meeting is “Experience the Extraordinary,” which is further amplified by all faculty who enhance the value and benefit of our specialty’s annual gathering and commitment to lifelong learning. Submitting to the AAO-HNSF Call for Science is an opportunity to share your research, connect with peers, and contribute to the extraordinary body of knowledge in otolaryngology. As you embark on this endeavor, let the theme "Experience the Extraordinary" inspire and guide your efforts.

The Call for Science closes on January 22, but there is still time to share your work that is innovative, has clinical impact, demonstrates collaboration, and will engage attendees.

Before submitting your proposal, be sure to read the Call for Science Submission Guidelines in their entirety, as they will help guide you through the criteria and requirements that are applicable to each of the submission categories.

If you are an experienced submitter, the guidelines contain some updates and changes from previous years, so be sure to thoroughly review them before submitting your proposals. AAO-HNSF encourages submissions that promote gender diversity and include members of underrepresented communities, as well as topics relevant to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence. This timeframe is inclusive of all program formats:

  • Expert Lectures
  • International Symposium
  • Scientific Oral Presentations
  • Scientific Posters
  • Master of Surgery Video Presentations
  • Panel Presentations
  • Simulation Presentations
