What Can You Expect to Learn at the OTO Forum?
Daniel R. Gold, MD“Learn from leading otolaryngologists about innovations that improve outcomes and optimize workflow,” said 2025–2026 Otolaryngology Private Practice Section (OPPS) Chair Daniel R. Gold, MD. “Attendees will receive hands-on insights, expert pearls, and the latest evidence to strengthen both patient care and practice performance.
“Connect with colleagues who understand the daily realities of private practice—and share what actually works,” Dr. Gold went on to say. “Build meaningful relationships with experts and peers in an intimate, highly interactive setting.”
Nora W. Perkins, MDThe Academy has moved this one-of-a-kind meeting from Alexandria, Virginia, to America’s heartland to reach more of you, our members, and increase the scope and diversity of this immersive setting. “What makes OTO Forum unique is the sense of community,” explained 2025–2026 OPPS 1st Vice Chair and Business of Medicine Committee (BOM) Chair Nora W. Perkins, MD. “You’re surrounded by colleagues who are facing the same challenges and are eager to share what works. Networking alone is worth attending, but the practical takeaways make it truly transformative for any ENT practice.”
Who Benefits From Attending the OTO Forum? EVERYONE!
Eli R. Groppo, MDIn addition to serving as a valuable networking resource for mid-to-late-career otolaryngologists, OTO Forum provides a dedicated space for residents and young physicians to learn from more experienced practitioners. “The OTO Forum provides a unique opportunity for trainees to learn the nuts and bolts of the business of medicine as it pertains to otolaryngology—a topic frequently overlooked in the residency training curriculum,” said 2025–2026 OPPS Chair-Elect Eli R. Groppo, MD. “At the meeting, trainee attendees have the opportunity to partner with a mentor who can help with resume/CV design, job searches, practice building, and so much more.”
Annette M. Pham, MD“Attending the OTO Forum gave me a renewed sense of camaraderie and collegiality in our chosen specialty and hope for the sustainability of private practice in the future,” explained 2025–2026 OPPS Immediate Past Chair Annette M. Pham, MD. “Being able to network with those in early to mid-to-late career while opining on our common challenges in navigating the current medical landscape helped me to feel that the ‘fight’ is worth taking on in the long run for the good of our patients, our community, and our own health.”
