Resources from Members: Sinus Surgery
Ashok Jagasia, MD, PhD, is a private practice otolaryngologist based in Chicago with an academic position at Rush University Medical Center. In the last few years he has developed a patient educational software program on sinus surgery. This software is web based and a patient can access either from home or in the office. It focuses on sinus anatomy, disease process (chronic sinusitis), treatment options, and the risks/complications. The software has can be viewed at http://www.innovatemedicine.com/clients/ with a password upon request. It has been reviewed by the American Rhinologic Society’s Internet Technology Committee. It is Dr. Jagasia’s hope that this patient information be offered as free patient access and that in time, he can add programs including those related to tonsillectomy, PE tube placement, and other procedures.
